Welcome home to Ligia and Knut and to Hesla Farm! In the middle of beautiful and sunny surroundings you will find this rustic and unique farm from the 18th century. The farm is one of the oldest farms on Gol and has beautiful farm buildings and an exciting history. The name comes from Hesli; a town where hazel grows, and la; water colored red by bog ore. Meaning, the farm by the marsh or the pool of water, where hazel grows. At the farm there is a quantity of hazel trees, also called the nut forest, which is otherwise very rare in Gol. The farm also once functioned as a private school for the wealthy families in the village. Experience authentic Norwegian culture and let your body and brain rest in our oasis. Find peace among the barns and farmhouses, enjoy the silence in the garden and meet our chickens that roam freely in the yard. All the buildings and rooms are original but have been upgraded with modern facilities.
