Tesla sent robotaxi users a new terms-of-service agreement detailing its planned launch in California's Bay Area, Business Insider reported citing a screenshot of the notification sent to users on Saturday.

Tesla is reported to have had plans to rollout a robotaxi service in San Francisco as early as this weekend. But state officials say they are not permitted to do such a thing and haven't even applied for a permit.

Tesla plans to launch its robotaxi service in California's Bay Area. The service will initially include safety drivers. This is because Tesla lacks the necessary permits for fully autonomous operation in that region.
