Police say a man arrested on suspicion of racially abusing Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo during a Premier League game has been released on conditional bail.

Police have issued an update after a report Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo was racially abused at Anfield. The Reds kicked off the defence of their Premier League title with a 4-2 victory at Anfield on Friday, August 15.

Antoine Semenyo has thanked the "football family" for support, and a man has been arrested after alleged racist abuse during Bournemouth's loss at Liverpool.
