As fans eagerly wait for Shrek 5 to hit theaters, Eddie Murphy has confirmed that a Donkey spin-off movie is also in the pipeline. The renowned actor and comedian revealed in a recent interview that he will begin work on a Donkey-centered project later this year,

The veteran comedy actor, who voices Donkey in the long-running animated series, also said that recording for 'Shrek 5' is still underway.

Murphy says a film based around the fan-favorite character and his donkey family will begin recording dialogue in September, though DreamWorks hasn't confirmed the project.
