ROME (AP) — A delegation of former hostages held by Hamas in Gaza and their relatives met Thursday with Pope Francis and expressed hope that the incoming and outgoing U.S. administrations would work together to bring the remaining hostages home.

Pope Francis met a delegation of Israeli hostages freed by Hamas at the Vatican on Thursday (November 14). Some held pictures of loved ones who remain in captivity.

Israeli officials said their military teams brought incubators, baby food and medical supplies to Gaza's largest hospital as they moved in.

The Israeli Defence Force has released a video walk-through of the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. They say the video is evidence the hospital was used as a military base by Hamas. Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus toured the building in a seven-minute video which showed weapons caches and "grab bags" filled with ammunition.
