National Guard troops arrived in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday after being ordered into the city by President Trump in response to a weekend of violent clashes between law enforcement officers and protesters triggered by immigration enforcement operations in the area on Friday.

Finneas says that he was 'tear-gassed almost immediately' upon attending a 'very peaceful' ICE protest in Los Angeles over the weekend: 'They're inciting this.'

In a post to social media, Providence state Representative Enrique Sanchez said he thought there should be a demonstration “like the one in LA.”
