Matt Turner’s move to Olympique Lyonnais has taken some unexpected turns, but it looks like the deal is finally done. The US international goalkeeper was signed by Lyon in June for €8-9 million from Nottingham Forest.

U.S. men's national team goalkeeper Matt Turner is returning to the New England Revolution on loan from French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais. Turner, the 2021 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, recorded 22 clean sheets in 102 MLS starts for the Revolution from 2018-22.

The 2022 World Cup starter rose to prominence with New England during his first tenure., culminating with winning 2021 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.
