Rep. Jerry Nadler, the long-serving dean of the New York congressional delegation and the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, is getting a primary challenger for next year — and it’s not from the Democratic Socialists of America.

The 26-year-old Liam Elkind announced his candidacy against Jerry Nadler for Congressional District 12 on a video posted on X, in which he talked about how current Democratic leadership is failing

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) will face a primary challenge from 26-year-old Liam Elkind. Elkind, the CEO of a nonprofit group, in an announcement video, thanked Nadler, 78, for his years in Congress but advocated younger voices.
