"Avoid the NYS Thruway eastbound at all costs as a tour bus has rolled over near the Erie and Genesee County lines," Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz said on X.

Multiple fatalities, including children, were reported Friday after a tour bus with about 50 passengers headed back to New York City from Niagara Falls crashed into a ditch, state police said.

“An absolute tragedy took place,” Ray said. “And first and foremost, our thoughts, prayers and hearts go out to those involved, their friends and their families.”
