STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The second earthquake in just four days has shaken New Jersey, according to the United States Geological Survey. This latest tremor hit at 12:11 p.m. and had a magnitude of 2.7. It originated just over a mile southwest of Hillsdale in northeastern New Jersey.

A small earthquake rocked parts of New Jersey and New York on Saturday night, according to officials. The magnitude 3.0 quake struck six miles beneath the ground in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, at 10:18 p.m., according to the United States Geological Survey.
