The Raiders are in search of a culture reset, and that begins with the head coach. With the hiring of Pete Carroll, is Russell Wilson to the Raiders inevitable?

It's not surprising that Wilson's name remains linked to the Raiders. About 15 minutes after Pete Carroll was announced as the team's new head coach, rumors began circulating that this could be a landing spot for the 36-year-old quarterback who he coached in Seattle for a decade.

Russell Wilson’s market widened after quarterback dominos began to fall on Friday in Los Angeles. The Pittsburgh Steelers saw the first domino of the quarterback offseason board fall as Matthew Stafford elected to stay with the Los Angeles Rams.

Wilson and Fields both played for the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, and it's likely that at least one of them will be returning to the team for the 2025 season. The Steelers are expected to figure out a deal for one of the quarterbacks before free agency begins on March 12.

To say Darnold’s 2024 numbers are unsustainable is probably putting it kindly. But the current free agent quarterback class is… shall we say, thin. It includes the aforementioned Wilson and a 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers who may retire. Plus, there’s Justin Fields, Daniel Jones, Cooper Rush, Jameis Winston, Joe Flacco and Trey Lance.
