Microsoft is issuing an emergency fix to close off a vulnerability in Microsoft’s SharePoint software that hackers have exploited to carry out widespread attacks on businesses and at least some federal agencies.

Two Chinese nation-state actors and one China-based threat actor have tried to exploit the vulnerability for weeks, Microsoft said.

Microsoft recently patched two major flaws in SharePoint on-prem instances, but the effects could be long-lasting.
