A Ukrainian drone attack hit a car in Russia's Belgorod region, killing one and injuring another, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said. The attack took place in Graivoron, near the Ukrainian border. Belgorod has faced frequent strikes in the three-year-old conflict.

Russia's Defense Ministry said early Thursday that it shot down 19 Ukrainian drones across the country and annexed Crimea overnight, while authorities in the southwestern Belgorod region said one person was killed.
