The Wolverines’ football program signed quarterback Chase Herbstreit, the son of former Ohio State quarterback and current ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit, and three-star offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn, the son of ex-Michigan State defensive lineman Jason Strayhorn, in its 2025 recruiting class.

His son Vinny, who is an impressive wrestler, hosted one of the Irish’s bitter rival coaches into his home, Sean Bormet of Michigan wrestling. The social media post from the younger Freeman just looks so odd, as Bormet is obviously wearing Wolverines gear while Marcus has Notre Dame’s signature gold helmet on his shirt.
