The officer who was injured in the shooting on Emory University's campus in Atlanta is dead, Interim Chief Greg Padrick of DeKalb County Police Department said. He died of his injuries from a gunshot wound, Padrick said.

Police in Atlanta say the suspect is dead after a shooting near Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters.

The community is remembering fallen DeKalb police officer David Rose, who was killed in the line of duty on Friday.
