Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso has opened up on his back injury that caused him to stay out in FP1 on Friday.

Alonso opted to miss FP1 in order to manage a back muscle injury picked up at the Belgian Grand Prix last weekend, and duly returned without any major problems for second practice in Hungary. After FP2 Alonso explained the injury and why it will not impact the rest of his race weekend.

Fernando Alonso has delivered a positive update on his ongoing back injury after missing first practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix. On Friday morning, Aston Martin announced that Alonso would miss first practice at the Hungaroring.
