The Los Angeles Chargers are being encouraged to try and land WR Terry McLaurin in a trade with the Washington Commanders.
It ends an eight-year career for Williams in the place where it started. The Chargers selected the receiver with the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft in the hopes that he would form one of the league's best duos with Keenan Allen.
That trade chip is Seth Lugo of the Kansas City Royals, a 2024 All-Star and presumptive rental thanks to his opt-out this winter. There's no guarantee the 47-50 Royals will be willing to sell, but the Dodgers would be one of many teams interested if they made Lugo available.
