PORTLAND, Ore. — After Oregon State lost 6-2 to Coastal Carolina in Sunday's second-round game in the men's College World Series, the Beavers now face an elimination game Tuesday against Louisville, which beat Arizona 8-3 in a Sunday elimination game after losing to Oregon State in the first round last week.

The 2025 Men's College World Series kicked off Friday, with No. 13 Coastal Carolina earning the first win of the tournament over Arizona and No. 8 Oregon State outlasting Louisville. Oregon State had a win in hand entering the ninth inning, and didn't let some misadventures stop them from advancing in the winner's bracket.
