'American Idol' judges Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie to return for new season
"American Idol" judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood are returning for the hit music competition series' 24th season, its ninth season on ABC and Hulu. The trio shared the announcement in a YouTube video Monday.
Bryan, Underwood, Richie return as Idol judges
Bryan has been a judge for eight years, while Underwood, who won American Idol in 2004, joined last season. Richie has been a judge since 2018. "American Idol" has ranked as a top unscripted series during its eight seasons on ABC, ending on a high note with last season's finale ranking number one on the night and for the week in primetime.
