Brayden Schenn is set to play his 1,000th regular-season NHL game when he and the St. Louis Blues visited the Washington Capitals on Thursday night.

Brayden and Luke Schenn became the first pair of brothers in NHL history to both hit the 1,000 game milestone in the same season.

Craig Berube and Brad Treliving are in constant communication. And the dialogue between the Maple Leafs coach and general manager, one would surmise, has ramped up with the National Hockey League trade deadline now less than a week away.
