This month, Marvel is celebrating its new movie — Captain America: Brave New World, starring Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America. He is joined by the veteran actor, Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross, replacing William Hurt, who, unfortunately, passed away in 2022.

Anthony Mackie stars in Brave New World, which arrives more than a decade after the actor made his Marvel debut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as Sam Wilson/The Falcon. The new film follows the hero as he dons the mantle of Captain America, following Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) handing him the shield in Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Anthony Mackie is starring in a new film that brings patriotism into the spotlight. “Captain America: Brave New World” was written and filmed long prior to the 2024 election, but that hasn’t stopped people from suggesting the movie is about the current political climate in the United States.
