Sega is removing 74 of its best-known retro games from Steam, Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation soon, and that includes Sega Genesis Classics

Usually, when retro games like this get removed from sale, it means either a license is expiring or a new compilation is coming. Considering SEGA is planning new versions of classics like Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, and Virtua Fighter, we’re expecting it to make the originals available in some form.

Sega is delisting a bunch of its classic games for modern devices. The company posted an FAQ on its website (via Eurogamer), breaking down the Sega Classics games each platform will lose next month. The collection includes some of the publisher’s golden oldies,

Sega is set to delist a huge swathe of its classic back catalog games from digital storefronts in December, including the Sega Genesis Classics collection and several much-loved games from the Dreamcast era.

A bunch of classic Sega titles will leave Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch in early December, but not if you already own them.
