The Boston Celtics traded recently acquired forward Georges Niang and two future second-round draft picks to the Utah Jazz in exchange for rookie RJ Luis Jr., both teams announced Wednesday. Niang is headed to Utah just a month after being dealt to Boston as part of a three-team deal that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Atlanta.

Niang -- who was born in Lawrence and grew up in Methuen -- was acquired by the Celtics from the Hawks in late June in a salary dump that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Atlanta. The Celtics also received a future second-round pick in the move, which shed Porzingis' $30 million salary off the Boston books.
