The team’s bold trade for Kevin Durant hours after Mat Ishbia gained control of the franchise has been an unmitigated disaster, and now the worst kept secret in the NBA is that Durant will again be on the trade block when this season mercifully ends for the Suns.

Durant wanted to see the season through with the Suns, and from a practical standpoint, he wasn't interested in moving midseason.

Barring a miracle turnaround, the Phoenix Suns are likely going to fall way short of expectations this season. Right now, they are the 11th seed in the Western Conference at 28-33, they are in real danger of missing the play-in tournament completely.

ESPN's Shams Charania added another log to the rumor inferno over the weekend, reporting the Suns are very likely to trade Durant unless they make a wildly improbable playoff run.
