The New Orleans Saints regular season schedule is out, and one of the biggest surprises is the team not having any primetime games. This is the first time in 25 years that the team will not play in primetime.
Derek Carr, the New Orleans Saints quarterback, retired from the NFL. A shoulder injury prompted his decision. Surgery was considered, but Carr chose retirement on May 10. His brother, David Carr, revealed family reasons also influenced the choice.
Carr did not exactly approach a lower-quality Brees season during his time with the Saints, however; that 2023 signing not panning out as the organization hoped. A compromise upon retirement will help ease the financial burden the Saints will carry as a result of the restructure-generated dead money on the QB’s contract,
