By Philip O'Connor GENEVA (Reuters) -Led by captain Ada Hegerberg, Norway's squad exuded togetherness at Euro 2025, which had been lacking at recent tournaments, but they never managed to find a consistent rhythm on the pitch as they lost 2-1 to Italy to exit the competition on Wednesday.

They were star prospects aged 18 when Norway last played in the quarterfinals at the Women's European Championship.

Norway's football team, led by Ada Hegerberg, showcased unity at Euro 2025 but struggled to maintain consistency, leading to a 2-1 quarter-final loss to Italy. Despite early successes, defensive and midfield issues proved costly.

Norway forward Elisabeth Terland lamented her team's failure to capitalise on key moments after a late defensive error allowed Cristiana Girelli to score her second goal, sending Italy to the Euro 2025 semi-finals on Wednesday with a 2-1 win.
