PHOENIX — A man died in a hit-and-run crash while riding an electric scooter in Phoenix on Saturday night, authorities said.

A police officer was working an event at Westworld of Scottsdale on foot early Sunday morning when he was struck by a driver who fled the scene. Scottsdale PD says the officer was not seriously hurt.
