Delta Air Lines is investigating the cause of visible nose damage on one of its planes that landed safely in Denver on Monday. The Airbus A320 departed from Detroit at 12:36 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and arrived in Denver at 1:38 p.

The spokesperson added that crews were able to inspect and repair the aircraft overnight. A new aircraft — Airbus A319 — took customers on the outbound flight from Denver to Salt Lake City on Monday night. The outbound flight was delayed by over four hours.

Delta is working to figure out how one of its planes suffered nose damage. The discovery was made when the flight landed in Denver after leaving Detroit.

She posted a picture on social media of the front end of the plane which appeared to be dented, almost like it hit something mid-flight, since Bennett said it wasn’t there when they flew out of Detroit more than three hours earlier.

After deplaning, one passenger stopped and looked out the window at the aircraft she had just come in on. “It was kind of a shock. We looked over and that’s what we saw and nobody’s kind of been able to figure out what it is,
