San Antonio faces a hot week with temperatures up to 103 degrees and intermittent chances of showers and thunderstorms.

The arrival of the opening day of the Bartholomew County Fair on Friday will also be the beginning of summer’s first heat wave, with temps soaring into the 90s and high humidity in the forecast.

Though official designation of season's start was Sunday, drought-ridden New Mexico is expected to see a week of heat, wind and dry storms before weekend precipitation.
