NBA great Jason Kidd has entered the soccer world by joining the ownership group of English Premier League club Everton.

After the Dallas Mavericks were knocked out early from the NBA playoffs, head coach Jason Kidd revealed an unexpected new role he's stepping into, one that has fans and analysts talking. Jason Kidd gave it everything to push the Dallas Mavericks into the NBA playoffs this season.

It was announced on Thursday that Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd is joining the ownership group for Everton FC, a founding member of England's Premier League. Kidd is joining on with the American-based Friedkin Group, led by Mark Watts out of Houston.
