The Cognizant Classic wrapped up on Sunday and a hearty congratulations to Joe Highsmith is in order. Life changed radically for Highsmith with his first PGA Tour win and in the process he made some interesting history.

Joe Highsmith entered a rare club of PGA Tour winners accomplishing a feat at the 2025 Cognizant Classic that had not been seen in nearly a decade.

Highsmith is the first player since Brandt Snedeker at the 2016 Farmers Insurance Open to make a cut on the number and go onto win a tournament. It's the ninth time such a comeback has occurred on the PGA Tour in the last 50 years.
