Washington Commanders practice had ended Saturday morning, but wide receiver Terry McLaurin’s contract dispute with the team was still going, which meant it was time for the now daily ritual of his appearance on the field just as the rest of the players were walking off.

McLaurin has played for Washington since 2019, amassing more than a thousand receiving yards each season in a Commanders uniform outside of his rookie campaign. He tallied 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns in the 2024 regular season as then-rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels ascended into superstardom.

Terry McLaurin seems to be done with the Commanders. The star wide receiver has requested a trade from Washington, NFL Insider Jordan Schultz first reported Thursday, instantly making him one of the most attractive players on the NFL’s trade market.
